Why not let us create an Application for the community or better still, have a slack channel
Slack can be real time and what happens when the community grows bigger than slack?

Also once we hit Slack’s limit, we will start losing conversations.

I think the first thing is growing the community! Then an App can come in…

I would like to suggest adding a group feature ( just like the WhatsApp group feature ) that allows students to create the group and add or remove members ( just like the admins on WhatsApp groups do 
) .
…then we create a nation that doesn’t have time to slack
