Yes I am interested in learning js for building desktop App

How powerful is electron?

Super Strong

Check it out @ https://electron.atom.io

If u have any questions or issues…just beep me; I’d be more than glad to help u out…

Is it advisable to ditch c# n python for windows apps n pick up electronjs

@AramideAjax … I understand where you’re coming… the idea of electron is to use web technologies to build cross platform desktop apps…in essence you’re using js to access the software’s in built functionalities…

electron just makes things faster…imagine building 3 sets of desktop apps with just one code…

C# will still work…but it’s gonna take a long while…and you’d be limited to building just for windows…

if you’re not a web guy…no problem…keep using your c#…if you are a web guy…I’d advice you get your hands on electron…it’s awesome…

you can check the documentations…

or I can send you the doc site which I grabbed…

If u still have any questions…do ask me…

Am a web developer too and love angularjs for JavaScript…

But am looking at performance BTW native and hybrid apps…
Eg sublime text vs atom text python vs js
Sublime is way faster but atom has more packages n add ons…

C# also runs across devices n platforms you can check c# mono for Mac and Linux os and xamarin for mobiles

cool…serious softwares have been developed with it.I will try it later

are you looking for better text editor or better performance between hybrid apps and native apps?

Better performance … I just used those as examples
